Notes on viewing original images

These are in the original SGI RGB image format as they were captured on ariel. If you have the X application 'display' available to you and a 24-bit display then you can add the following as a helper application (Options ... General Preferences... Helpers in Netscape): 
    image/x-rgb /iag/bin/display %s

The SGI system algae in the digital video lab is available for processing of these images. On algae you can access these images directly with these Unix shell commands:

display 1998009-rgb.miff
